Moisture problems in new homes

Moisture problems usually occur in older homes, but even new-build homes cannot escape them. This is because a new home contains a lot of building moisture that slowly dries up during the first few years. Think of building moisture that arises during the production of cement or the laying of a screed or foundation.

Not only in old houses

Although moisture problems are associated with old dwellings, this statement does not hold true and new-build homes and apartments also suffer from moisture problems such as condensation or rising damp.

Solutions for damp new homes

The solution for damp walls in a new home is usually: ventilation. The house must be able to dry nicely and the building moisture must be able to go outside. This is only possible with good ventilation, especially in damp rooms such as cellars, bathrooms or kitchens.
